SGPHOTOGRAPHY

SGP also known as Swati Ghelani Photography is a freelance photography business based in Leicester & owned by Swati Ghelani herself. She has been photographing from a young age as it runs in her family, but started professional photography in 2013, when she began a photography course. Her passion for photography started when she was in secondary school & realised that she couldn’t stand looking at a page full of text but when shown a photo/images, she could tell you 3 different stories behind the image, this is where she came up with the quote “…because every picture tells a story…” this quote became one of her excuses to take photo’s wherever she went!

 

Since 2013 Swati has done a range of various photography styles from pinhole photography, film photography in black and white/ colour & digital. She has also used a range of different film cameras, from making her own beer can Pinhole camera, a Bronica camera, a Large Format 5x4 camera and a 35mm film camera. By using these film cameras she has also learnt how to develop and process the film and the images by using the enlarger in a darkroom.

 

Swati now focuses on digital photography as she can be more creative & try new things. She is a distinctive photographer with bold use of colour, refined lighting techniques & attention to detail, who has a unique ability to create and collaborate on lasting, iconic images that are sure to catch your eye. She has done a range of different images such as Weddings & Events, Still Life, Advertising, Vehicles, Landscape, Time-lapse, Portraits, Studio, Animals, Children, Fashion and Art, as well as Photo Restoration.
